(no subject)

I'm sorry for the lateness of this post ;0; I put off doing it for quite a while because I took so many pics today and it was so difficult deciding between them all ;/
So, today I went to the Dudley/Himley Hall mini show =D I got up early and got there for about 10.30, following another mini all the way there. I was parked in the mini car park (of course ;p) and the Mini Booge didn't look too bad, even against some super awesome ones, as there were some other really riffy looking ones about too, like typical day-to-day minis, not so much show stuff. When I got in I pretty much spent hours exploring XD There were lots of spares stalls, both new and second hand, as well as minis for sale and club areas and of course in the middle the minis that were waiting to be judged in the concours and other shows. I think there must have been over 1000 classic minis, plus a few new minis (which had the nerve to show up and try to look cool xp).
I took pics of the minis I liked and read some stuff and bought little bits and peices too. It was pretty cool. Before I left I got talking to a guy called Phil whos' mini was in one of the club displays and I got a pic with Oz, who is a gopher that goes everywhere with Phil, my pic is on his site, here! It's worth a look, Oz has travelled a lot.
I left at about 4.30 after talking with a guy sitting in the very polished up clubman that was next to mine in the car park. He'd completely refurbed it and a lot of work it looked too, he didn't seem very impressed by my mini XD But at least mine doesn't have to stay in the garage when it looks like it may be a rainy day x3

These and a bunch of others were the very first minis- made in 1959, happy birthday to these minis! They are the cause of the 50th birthday celebration. Original minis were called mini minors and came in 3 colours- blue, red and 'old english white' (i think ;p) Not many white ones to be seen about though.
