thylaylii: (Summer- Pup)

Another busy day today, I'd heard of a mini-featival type thing happening down in Coalbrookdale to celebrate 300 years of industry, plus a free park and ride from the town centre, plus the weather was lovely today, with no sign of rain! I waited ages from when I parked to when the bus came, apparently the driver when on an unscheduled lunch break x.x But the people supervising the park and ride apologised and gave us tickets for free entry into the museums x3
The thing itself was pretty cool when I finally got there, there was all sorts of stuff going on, like demonstrations of iron smelting, pewter pouring, steam thing display, some local produce stalls and so on. I mooched about the sculptures first and looked into the museum with the original Darby smelting oven. Then I went and watxhed some iron smelting demonstation where they poured the liquid iron into the molds. It was so orange it looked like paint. I looked at the stalls next, then found I had no money anyway XD There was a guy with some mice there and they were so friendly, climbing over anyone who wanted to hold them, they had a special silky fur type too, like a rex rabbit. There were also Clydesdale horses in a big roped off bit where the public could pet them and stuff, they were advertising wedding carriages. I looked in a miniture art gallery about Coalbrookdale evolution and then I was about ready to go home. Enginuity didn't seem like much fun on my own so I left that. I also didn't get a chance to see a guy who had brought all sorts of creatures like lizards, spiders etc.
I picked up my car after the bus journey back and decided as Tony was still working on his motorbike with Ron helping, I'd go check out the concert being held in the town park (which could be partially heard from our house). I thought it was pay for thing, but turns out not, so I went in and the band playing was actually good! It was kinda indie and thats right up my street ;D I just couldn't catch their name though and that was a bit crap. After their set I waited half an hour for the next band and it seems they were faurly popular as quite a bit of the audience were singing the words too. They were called Casino and were okay, a bit rockier than the prev band. I ended up watching the whole set too, then went home and dossed for a bit before I went over Tonys for tea. Quite a busy day indeed, it was quite fun even though I was alone.
Pls excuse typos, doing this on my phone again. It's like 3am now so bedtime! Just felt I should update a bit :3

Steel Sculpture extends to pretty things too, not just abstract
