Aug. 10th, 2010 05:32 pmToday was a day for photos in the garden, again XD I was taking pictures of Paisley, I try to rotate my pullip pics evenly but I can't seem to help but choose to photo Paise quite a bit ;d
While i was taking pics I managed to disturb a red ant nest a bit too, luckily they didn't swarm and I just got a couple of pics of them XD Sorry it's really small, but the red ants are even smaller than black ones!

Jul. 27th, 2010 01:03 amWas a good day today, though it hasn't been sunny in ages it was still okay enough weather XD Today a sparrow found it's way into the conservatory, that was pretty weird. It was kinda difficult to find the best way to get it out without making it panic and smack into the windows, luckily we sneaked around it and opened up everything then tried to shoo it along. It got out in a couple of minutes. The degus were pretty bemused by our faffing about XD The lily is in the conservatory now as it smells so strong, it keeps attracting all these bee-flies to it. Lastly is Yuki, she got woken up too by our messing about with the sparrow so I got a few pics while she was out :]

Jun. 29th, 2010 02:45 amJust taking pictures round the garden today, I got a parcel from Jen with this little Dog in, so of course I had to take pics with it x3
Dad called me out to the greenhouse while i was dossing in the garden cause this giant dragonfly had flown in! I found it pretty hard to get a pic at first and it's actually alot bigger than it looks in this pic, it must have been just under the size of my hand o0

Apr. 27th, 2010 03:08 amWe had pretty good weather today and I was in quite a pro-active mood for photos, so I quite like these x3
Dad helped me with the Shakespere one, it was a little breezy & he kept falling out the tree xp

Apr. 1st, 2010 03:11 amToday wasn't the easiest pic getting day, but I did get a couple of pics I thought weren't too bad (don't think so? Compare them to that TV pic from 2 days ago xp)
It's that squirrel again, most people hate squirrels in the garden eating the bird food but come on, they are little acrobats! And really cute too ;p
This ladybird I found in Tony's room at like 11.30pm...I have no idea, but that room seems to attract ladybirds, the other week I found really strange yellow one but it flew off before I could get a pic. I think this one is the new type of ladybird to invade britain and take over our normal 7 spot, so I probably shouldn't have let it go outside :x

Feb. 6th, 2010 12:50 amYup, I've been avoiding LJ like crazy...well, not avoiding LJ so much as just avoiding typing XD My pics aren't so great for the next few day, I can'r wait till the days start to warm up and the flowers start coming out so I feel better about going out to hunt for something new to photo.
As it is, today I went with Dad and Aunty Betty to Bridgenorth and although I only got 2 pics I haven't taken it before :] It was cold in Bridgo and it turns out it had been sorta sunny in Telford all day, typical XD But we still had a little walk and mooch at the market.

Jan. 29th, 2010 04:46 pmAh a day with some alright pics XD Well, it's more that I didn't have trouble getting photos today, which makes me feel the pictures are a little better ^^; Today when we got up we went over to Tony's mums for a little while and it started to snow! It was rely big flakes but although it tried to stick it didn't snow for more than 15 mins ;/ I went back to mine after a little while and me and Dad got my car started, it started really easily actually, but the battery is a complete dud. We went for a bit of a drive in it anyway, where I goo the moon pics :]

Jan. 25th, 2010 01:30 amLast one for tonight cause I'm pretty damn knackered! & my wrists already hurt a little from the last one I wrote in this position. So...today wasn't very busy! Haha, so should I leave it at that and just give you the two pics I've got for today? But first todays pics: the first one is my Wreck This Journal. I haven't talked about it much on here, but it's pretty cool! When I can drag myself away from the pc in the evenings I try to do a bit. Basically the book has instructions on each page which may wreck it a little more, and other pages have more journal-like things, so you slowly get to like the book as it's wrecked. It's subline is 'to create is to destroy', but that last couple of sentences don't do it any justice, I'd look it up if I were you :3
The second is a Ladybird that has been dossing about in Tony's room for a couple of days, and today was found in Tony's glass of dissaronno and coke he was drinking XD I thought it was dead at first but as I got it out it moved! Sideways.

Oct. 21st, 2009 01:31 pmToday I went out to Wellington with Dad. Usually Wellington is dead on Wednesdays, but you can tell it's coming up Christmas cause most of it was open today, not bad! Some new shops had opened too so we had an explore :]
After Wellington we went out a strange way and found a chinese supermarket x3 I'd heard it had opened but didn't have any idea where it was, now I know! It's so cool, they sell some ramen pots I could only get in Aber before now, plus they have loads of other tasty looking noodles and snacks...also a lot of not tasty looking strange meats & stuff 0o I only got some mini mochi, same sort of thing I got from Shrews' Setonakai last time, looks like their use is deminishing now!
We went to Home Bargains and got more than we meant to and i took the only pic I got today- taken on Dads car.

Sep. 14th, 2009 03:43 pmToday Tony was out working with his step-dad so I was pretty much planning a day of pc-dossing. (what's new?) after a while I had pretty much done all I meant to and Dad was going out to meet Roger as he had just come back off holiday & wanted to check out the damsons, so I went along too.
At first we couldn't see any, but after walking a little way up a farmers lane we found loads! Dad & Roger got at least half an Asda bag each, I got a couple of branch for the gerbils to chew which had a damson each for them to play with/fight with the siblings for XD
After they had got all the damsons they wanted we went back to Rogers house, which is very nice, and has a massive bak garden which borders with a small forest out the back, so he gets a lot of wildlife too. I took some photos of the birds there & after a cup of tea and looking at Roger's holiday pics we were about to leave when I got distracted by a small mouse outside eating seed the birds had dropped. It was actually a vole we saw by the pics after. It's a shame our garden doesn't back onto a forest too, I think it'd be a good place for phot-a-day when it starts to become a struggle, just sit outside & watch the wildlife!

( More interesting photos :3 )

Sep. 10th, 2009 06:48 pmFinally, time to do LJ! I've been falling behind again x.X Today it was so sunny when I finally woke up that I suggested we go to Shrews for a nose about. So we did after a bit of faffing. I wanted to show Tony the new shop Setonaikai has set up as even though it's been there since about...May? now! We got a bunch of stuff from there, new ramens, miso soup & some daifuku (which are sticky sweet rice cakes with a sweet bean paste in, it was strange but I liked the cake bit, not so much the huge amount of bean paste XD)
We wandered a little more around the town, cause i was taking pictures of this and that then went on back home, not a lot else really but got out of the house into the lovely weather- the kids must be hating it, horrible summer holidays and as they go back it's lovely again XD

Sep. 7th, 2009 12:23 amToday I didn't know what to do again so I went and asked Dad if he was going out anywhere and after I helped vacuum the house we did :] First we went to a bridge...i don't really know how to explain it, it's an old showy bridge in the middle of countryside XD We walked a small path that ended up being overgrown so we walked back, exploring and taking pics of course. Then we went onto Acton Burnell to look at the church & castle of course! I took Paisley too as I'd just rechipped her earlier too, she has bluuuue eyes now X3 After we had explored Acton Burnell and sat and enjoyed the sunshine a while we went on to drive about the countryside a bit and found a cool view, and hayfields to take pictures of and then we found a tiny chapel! We explored the chapel too, it was one of the first buildings to be saved by the english heritage too as it's insides are all original 17th century. The key was left in the door too, we were surprised it hadn't been stolen XD
Also, cause I have so many pictures you guys don't see on this journal cause they can be somewhat repetitive and/or I already have too many for one day, I was thinking of starting up another secondary journal as like an overrun for this one? Like today I got a bunch of good pics of the different countryside & castle and stuff but I didn't want to overload here since I'm 'supposed' to only use 3 pictures a day (a rule I've been breaking quite a lot recently) & I never post pictures from days that I haven't taken them on, so if I don't use them on one day then I either have to re-take it another day or just forget about it. The new journal would either only be updated on days where I take loads of pictures I like and have already posted something similar for this LJ or it could also be like a picture a day, like a single picture but from the past rather than this one which only has that day's pictures on each day...does that make sense? So, what do you think basically, would you look at another photo journal? When I take too many pics in one day or daily of photos taken days or months before? Please help me & comment with your thoughts ♥

( So many pictures x.X )

Aug. 22nd, 2009 03:02 amToday Tony had arranged meeting up with Paul on a new patch of building land we discovered but that isn't used. It looks like it's ready to build on only they haven't bothered yet. We got there a bit early and so explored the land a bit. I found a few nothings to take pics of, then we walked over the far side before coming back again, though there wasn't much to see, just lots of smooth rubble. I sat in the car and read when we got back as Paul had arrived so they were racing the cars about. I didn't mind much today though as the weather was really nice so reading seemed like a good plan, even if it was only lenore comics and the asda mag XD We left after about an hour of car racing (not before I got the first pic though) and I dropped Tony off at Pauls then went home.
I added an edit to yesterdays LJ btw to explain the pics better if you want to have a look :]

Aug. 18th, 2009 06:17 pmToday was busy! I got up about quarter to 10 and me and Dad went out after the postie had been just after 10. We went along to Whittington Castle first, so here's another pic for the photo challenge- 'A castle turret' x3 We went along to Llangollen then and went into the town first and got some Fish & Chips, but the chips were so bad! Aussie 3/10, at best XD The fish was okay, much fresher cokked, but Dad didn't think much of it still. We wandered about and looked at the railway after lunch, there was actually a train in too.
Then we went out to the horseshoe pass but didn't stay up there long, didn't fancy a look in the shop & didn't have anything to feed the sheep. So we went back down and I got a pic of the abbey along the way.
Went back to Llangollen and checked out the market, and the horse-drawn canal barge which we hadn't had a chance to see before, then we got an ice cream and went along to Kynaston caves on the way home as we kept falling asleep in the car so needed a distraction. The cave was cool, even though it was offically blocked off they hadn't done a clever job of it so we had a mooch X3 Then we went up to the viewpoint, the hard way, and got some pics before going back down and then going on home, and we managed to stay awake this time :]

Aug. 12th, 2009 11:25 pmToday was another doss day, I watched a movie at Tonys house and browsed the nets on my phone for a little while, then went over to mine. I had mail- as you can see in my first pic ;3 Dad was busy today papering the spare room/jens old room, well more depapering the room, the paper thats on atm is is stuck on really firmly. Anyway work as usual tonight, the two tours that are in at the moment are alright too, one has a table with two Joans on it! I like that table xp

Aug. 8th, 2009 11:48 pmToday me and Dad went to Wolverhampton. We went pratically everywhere! XD First we went to the canal and had a small walk along it, the day was sunny again so it was really nice and I got a few good pics, like of the railway station that doesn't have a railway anymore, and this butterfly I spent ages creeping up on on a road so it wouldn't fly away & as soon as I got this pic it closed its wings too. It was a really peaceful place too for being in Wolves. We then went and got lunch from Asda and found another part of canal near the viaduct to eat by in the sun :3 We went to the town then get some jobs done and look in a couple of random shops. Forbidden Planet doesn't sell 3 manga for £15 anymore, and they've downsized what they've got ;C
We went to the West Park after going to get ice cream and look about the market. I had to eat 2 dream ice creams...so ill XD I got a couple of pics of a squirrel, but they weren't very good, you'll have to see a pic some other day XD Today mine all blurred for some reason. The strange flower was in the greenhouse, it's a cactus flower of some sort.
We left Wolves then and went home, but stopped to go find the abandoned observatory Dad knows of. It was cool to see, but my camera didn't get any good pics of it cause it was very overgrown cause of the time of year, so I'll go back in winter and see what it's like then x3 I still can't find any info about it on the internet, but I want to know why they just left it!
At home I sat outside a while and read then we had tea and nets is in order for the rest of the night i think :]

Aug. 7th, 2009 06:24 pmGot up at like 7.30 to take Tony to work and once he was dropped off I went home and to bed XD Got woken up at 10.30 by Phil saying she was about and so I got up and went over to St. Georges to meet her. She was trying to get Ro to come to the front door when it turns out she was out buying pizza and so sneaked up on us xp Said hi and stuff but she didn't want to come along to Phils' dads as she was a bit hungover and wanted pizza XD
Tony rang asking if I could pick him up from work and so I did, with Phil following me XD I then dropped him off at Pauls' and me and Phil went onto her Dad's house as originally planned. It was a good day, nice to see all Phil's dads' side of the family again, haven't seen them since xmas '07 o.0 we went down the country pub that's only 5 mins walk away and sat outside for some lunch and waffling, it was really cool ^^ Phil's Gabriel is 16 months old now and has grown quite a lot, he can't crawl properly yet i think but if you hold his hands he walks like woah! He is also really smiley (esspecially when he sees Phil) it's cute! I stayed till 4, then went to pick Tony back up, come hom and have tea and then go onto work ^^
First pic...erm, self explanitory much? Second Dad made these, I just made the icing X3 and third, this is the first Ladybird i've seen all year! There were loads at the pub though where we ate, unfortunatly quite a few wasps too ;C

Jul. 25th, 2009 11:46 pmAnother busy day today, I'd heard of a mini-featival type thing happening down in Coalbrookdale to celebrate 300 years of industry, plus a free park and ride from the town centre, plus the weather was lovely today, with no sign of rain! I waited ages from when I parked to when the bus came, apparently the driver when on an unscheduled lunch break x.x But the people supervising the park and ride apologised and gave us tickets for free entry into the museums x3
The thing itself was pretty cool when I finally got there, there was all sorts of stuff going on, like demonstrations of iron smelting, pewter pouring, steam thing display, some local produce stalls and so on. I mooched about the sculptures first and looked into the museum with the original Darby smelting oven. Then I went and watxhed some iron smelting demonstation where they poured the liquid iron into the molds. It was so orange it looked like paint. I looked at the stalls next, then found I had no money anyway XD There was a guy with some mice there and they were so friendly, climbing over anyone who wanted to hold them, they had a special silky fur type too, like a rex rabbit. There were also Clydesdale horses in a big roped off bit where the public could pet them and stuff, they were advertising wedding carriages. I looked in a miniture art gallery about Coalbrookdale evolution and then I was about ready to go home. Enginuity didn't seem like much fun on my own so I left that. I also didn't get a chance to see a guy who had brought all sorts of creatures like lizards, spiders etc.
I picked up my car after the bus journey back and decided as Tony was still working on his motorbike with Ron helping, I'd go check out the concert being held in the town park (which could be partially heard from our house). I thought it was pay for thing, but turns out not, so I went in and the band playing was actually good! It was kinda indie and thats right up my street ;D I just couldn't catch their name though and that was a bit crap. After their set I waited half an hour for the next band and it seems they were faurly popular as quite a bit of the audience were singing the words too. They were called Casino and were okay, a bit rockier than the prev band. I ended up watching the whole set too, then went home and dossed for a bit before I went over Tonys for tea. Quite a busy day indeed, it was quite fun even though I was alone.
Pls excuse typos, doing this on my phone again. It's like 3am now so bedtime! Just felt I should update a bit :3

Jun. 16th, 2009 01:54 amToday was a rather strange day, I suppose you could describe it like that anyway. I got up at 7.30 so me and Dad could leave the house by 8am to give us plenty of time to get to Worcester (sp?) so we could go to a funeral of an old family friend.
We were making okay time till halfway to Kidderminster, when suddenly we hit a traffic block. The police had blocked of the main road, so we skipped down the closest turning to a place called Arley, where we tried to loop back up onto the main road hoping to have missed the accident, only the road was blocked by police there too. We had to go all the way back to cross the main road onto another country lane, we followed some other cars on a turning right, only to nearly get back onto the main road again and find it blocked too >.o We had to go all the way down the country lane to a place called Kinver before we could go onto Kidderminster, where there was also a bit of a traffic problem. It had taken us practically an hour from the original road block to get past the outskirts of Kidderminster, all the time we'd allowed to find the Chapel where we got there.
We got to Worcester at 10ish, just as it was supposed to be starting, but then got a bit lost around the town and finally found ourselves and made it to the place at about 10.20. We were hoping to still catch the family and show them we were there, give condolances and all that but of course for our luck of the day the chapel was preparing for the next service and so we had a tour around the graveyard and carpark, seeing if there was anyone we recognised, but we couldn't find anyone.
We left after a while with some disappointment (if you know what I mean) and headed back to Kidderminster for maccies lunch, then we went to Stourbridge and had a go on the 2p slotties and got an ice cream which we ate down by the river before heading onto Rob & Denise's caravan. We stayed there for a while, dad chatting and we went for a walk near the caves, which have been sealed off again after a hillslide a few months ago which revealed some more caves.
Working tonight, I think I've said enough for now anyway XD Oh, we never did find out what that giant accident that messed us up for the day was. It wasn't on the news, or in the paper. How typical is that?
