Feb. 5th, 2011 05:06 pmToday I went to Wolves with Dad Aunty betty. We walked through the park and up into town, (checking in at this packed out book shop with hardly any organisation xp) first visiting a collectors shop called Shawns to collect something Dad wanted, and in there were some on card pony things! =D I got some clothes and then we went up town, checking out the manga shop and finding another collectors shop which Dad found some beermats...you can see the grin on his face as he looks through them here XD After a galnce around at a couple of other places we went back via Shawns and I got another Pony thing- a MIB Stable XD Suckered....

Today I went to Birmingham with George, my friend from Wolves. At first we explored regular shops with her boyfriend, West, but after a bit he & George had words and he went home in a huff o0 Luckily everything we wanted to see in Birmingham was pretty close to the station so I didn't feel too bad about being left. We went to the international sweet shop and I got lots of sweets (of course i don't need them, but how often do I go to b/ham and see foreign sweets?), then we went to the Tepenyaki sushi place <3 Omnomnom, we were there for about 2 hours XD Such greedy people XD

Jan. 12th, 2010 02:02 amWell today was pretty busy :] Tony drove us to Wolves and we got mobbed by squirrels in the West Park as we walked trough to go up town. A nice polish girl gave us some of the monkey nuts she was feeding them so we could too =D They were so bold, usually it takes a lot of effort to get a squirrel to take from the hand, but they must've been hungry today, there were at least 15 we were feeding!
Because we stoped to feed them, we were a bit late to the station & couldn't catch a train to get us to Birmingham by 2, oops! Still, when we got in we met up with my friend George & her b/f West. We wen to loads of different shops, but I didn't find anything I wanted till pretty late, Tony got a bunch of DVDs from a CEX & I got quite a got of international sweets from, strangely enough, an international sweet shop!
We went for coffee (well, white hot choc in my case!) and then West left for band practice, so us 3 went to the Mailbox (I took a pic but it came out blurry :C More on that in a bit) to a japanese sushi restaurant! All the sushi went round on a conveyor belt thing and you picked off all you wanted for £10 per person, it was so cool. George also got sake (saké?) which came warmed and was okay, until it cooled down, then it was like straight vodka xp There wasn't just sushi on the belt either, I forgot to take pics before I ate it, but there was also mounds of egg fried rice, honey'd pork, tempura & some mixed veg :p~
When we left we waited for West at the station, then went home. It was a better day than I thought it woould be, as I'm a bit afraid of Birmingham :x
Oh, and about my camera. Because I don't trust B/ham I took Dad's small casio, which although I used to use everyday, I've sort of fallen out of practice with. I basically forgot how still you have to stand with it, and for how long, plus I was quite rushed in many places as it was too cold for the others to stand around outside while I took photos, which kind of sucks as I took some pics of some interesting things, like the Mailbox. Next time I'll hide my big camera in my bag & get better sushi pics, at least ;p

Dec. 15th, 2009 03:47 amToday was need an excuse to go out day! So we went to Wellington as on Tuedays B&M stocks up on energy drink...but not today Xc still we had a mooch about here and there, don't think I actually got anything really thou!
Sorry this is quite blahy, that's cause its quarter to 4 in the morning and I'm at work waiting for Tony to finish cleaning the bar, I'm so sick of the park inn! Back tomorrow of course :/

Dec. 1st, 2009 08:50 pmToday was the coldest day we've had so far I think- but Dad had already arranged to go out with Aunty Betty so we went! Tried to wear warm things, but it was still cold! We went to Ludlow and first ate lunch up the top at the lookout point, then went down into the town to mooch about the charity shops, Dad and Aunty Betty both found something to buy too. I was looking at the books but I've gotta go to the library tomorrow so I'll get to mooch at a free bookshop XD
I got a few good pics today, although i'm not certain of the second one, it seemed a little odd to take pics of dead things, even if (maybe esspecially as?) they are decorative o0

I don't remember much of today though, so I'll just post the pic, this is the centre christmas decorations, maybe when I'm up there again I'll take some more detailed shots of the grotto :]

Nov. 10th, 2009 07:08 pmWell this entry sort of marks a fail in my photo-a-day, as you may notice by the date in the calendar over there ---> I missed a day ;C I was at work before I'd realised that I hadn't got one, and I didn't get home till after 12. Sucks, I'd managed about 6 months getting a pic a day & now I'll have to try and beat that x/
Today me & Tony went to Wolves. We were just mooching about really. I don't think I got anything really but it was still a good day.

Nov. 7th, 2009 03:15 pmToday me and Dad went shopping. Tony had driving to do of course! We got lots of things we'd needed for the house for a while, we hadn't been shopping in an ageee.
Didn't get any other pics today but these two either, I liked my last flowers-from-a-shop photo, but not this one, think I may be trying to overdo it ;/

Oct. 29th, 2009 03:53 pmI did hardly anything today & got quite bored so about 3 I went out to explore, using some flimsy excuse on myself to get myself out the house XD I visited Asda for bits then still had time before I had to go pick Tony up from work to visit Sainsburys too. There was something I was looking for that I couldn't find in asda, anyway all I ended up with was some cakes from this display XD
Oh, and the last pic? Well, lets put it this way, someone paid this for a single mixer (less than 1/2 pint) sized Orange juice on room service, for a little perspective, if you need it, that's about $6.60 US dollars, and about $9.20 NZ dollars!! People are idiots.

Sep. 10th, 2009 06:48 pmFinally, time to do LJ! I've been falling behind again x.X Today it was so sunny when I finally woke up that I suggested we go to Shrews for a nose about. So we did after a bit of faffing. I wanted to show Tony the new shop Setonaikai has set up as even though it's been there since about...May? now! We got a bunch of stuff from there, new ramens, miso soup & some daifuku (which are sticky sweet rice cakes with a sweet bean paste in, it was strange but I liked the cake bit, not so much the huge amount of bean paste XD)
We wandered a little more around the town, cause i was taking pictures of this and that then went on back home, not a lot else really but got out of the house into the lovely weather- the kids must be hating it, horrible summer holidays and as they go back it's lovely again XD

May. 4th, 2009 09:25 pmToday we went to Newquay to visit Dad! It was horrible weather pretty much the whole trip, and a little bit longer than I expected it to be too, but we got to Newquay at about 2.00 after setting off at 10.30. Once we found Dad we explored here and there in the town, it was pretty wet and a little windy so after a nose and look in at an info center we went and ate in a restaurant we had thought was a chippy. It was better really as we wanted to eat inside. The food was really good, but I don't take very appealing pics of food so instead the pic is of the window looking out to the sea, the view as we ate X3 After we'd finished the weather had improved and we had a bit more of a walk (though nothing compared to dads walks xp) and about 5.00 we went to some little hidden beachy places Dad knew of, the first one really was just a beach, but the second was a dinky town, it looked liked the prefect place to hang out on holiday, lovely little beach, caves and a bit of a viewpoint with a stone bench at the top, so nice!
After that we went back to Newquay to get the mini then Dad showed us the way back to the caravan. The mini did well really. The caravan was really nice, both in looks and comfyness though I managed to choke Dad throughout the evening by leaving the fire on ;x We pretty much just relaxed though and read and ate our sushi from yesterday, even Dad tried some!

Apr. 1st, 2009 09:53 pmDad left to go to Europe today and I got up early to say bye, but got up a bit too early. We went up town to post some mail and look in asda, then after some lunch Dad left and me and Tony went out to the garage cause he had some stuff to do so I just played my DS. We stopped at the shops first, where this bike wheel was strangely locked to the small fence...just sort of typical hollinswood! I took the husky soft toy with me, just cause, and got a few pics too.

Nov. 23rd, 2008 09:02 pmOn 13/2/09 I found these (what I thought to be) long lost pictures! =D They were sitting on a spare 1GB card I had for my camera in my camera bag which when today when I found I had left my 4GB card at home I swapped in, and here were these pics!
These were taken the day Dad, me and Tony went to Cardiff to pick up new carpets for my mini as one of my xmas presents. It was a good day out, though cold. We went to a cafe first when we got there for lunch, then went and got the carpet (I think, from what I can remember) Then we went to the ocean front and walked along it abit. It was quite fun and the sun was setting when we left. I slept on the way home XD

Oct. 4th, 2008 04:12 pmToday me and Tony went to Shrews cause the weather wasn't looking so great and chinese food sounded awesome ;D Of course, it was and for some reason we always manage to get the same table, even though different waitresses seat us everytime...conspiracy much? xD Once we had finished mooching around their food we went up town to have a look in the gamezone shop for a lead Tony needed to run something on his new elite. First though, we found the market again and decided to have a look around that. Like Wellington market it is good to have a look around, but never much point as nothing is there ;p By the time we were finished in town we didn't have time to go to Dobbies to look for a new pot for the bonsai like I'd hoped, so we went home.
Work is gonna be a bitch tonight, a late late fini is in the works.

We had work tonight again which was another big do down banq, but it wasn't too hard as it was just a buffet.

Sep. 23rd, 2008 10:56 pmToday i got up early to take tony to work, and once I had, I went to town to have a good look about. It's been a while since I browsed randomly, so I set myself to it today. When I first got there none of the shops were open, but as I wandered to the bank the shutters started going up and people wandering around disappeared into the shops. It was quite odd to walk into a shop and have all the staff watch me cause I was the only person in there 0.o I spent about 3 hours in the centre getting this and that and looking for ideas for xmas.
I went down the garage at about 12.30 and picked Tony up, he had been welding the sill onto my mini. It's done now, next is the window washer motor apparently, then it's ready for MOT! We'll see what else is wrong with it so we know what more needs to be done. I think I'm gonna have it painted burgundy/cherry red and then have chrome highlights, what do you think?
In the afternoon Tony and Ron were playing with their savages (petrol remote cars) and i played my ds...then fell asleep XD hopeless! Though dad wasn't sure he would be home in time for tea, he was, so we had food together before i had to go to work, which was busy like WOAH.

Today was another day where I wasn't too busy but did enough :3
First when I got home I read a magazine, then when Dad came home too we had beans on toast for lunch, nom!
While Dad watched his lunch-time auction programs I went down the garage to see what tony was up to for an hour. The engine in the 4x4 is still being a hassle so he was working on getting that out.
When I got back home me and Dad went out to a pool up the town park to feed some fish he saw there. I thought they were baby fish that would eat crumbs, but they turned out to be big Carp! They loved bread and got through about half a loaf as fast as ducks would! They were more fun to feed though, all jumping up, it was like the trout farms we've been to. We went and did the shopping once the bread had run out and just got this and that.
When i got home I went on the nets as usual, and first was looking up lyrics, and one song mentioned a Bluebird car, so I went to look it up on ebay, I'd thought of buying one at one point before I got the seicento. I got bored of that and looked at minis instead, there are loads of expensive ones, and the ones that aren't so exy were rust buckets, as minis are prone to be. I told Tony this before I went for my tea.
When I got back Tony had found this mini on buy it now for £450, and after quite a lot of debating, I bought it!! Tony can do all the work to it, mostly welding, then I'll have a mini! I do feel kinda bad for my seicento though....

Aug. 31st, 2008 10:25 pmToday when we woke up we decided to go to Wolves, just so we would have something to do. As we were gettng ready to go Tony's mum asked us if we would like to go to a pub called the Brewery. We'd been meaning to go so we decided to go there instead, it was a nice place, the food was pretty good too, there was loads of it! I had ham, salad and chips, and Tony had lasagna with chips and salad, dunno about Tony's but mine was goood! ;D
When we got home we were soooo full so the plan was to lie down and maybe nap, but Tony got restless so we ended up playfighting, dunno who won really, each would say themselves? ;D
As we finally settled down to watch an ep of one foot in the grave, halfway through someone on it mentioned scalextrics, so Tony got the idea about his old set so dragged it down and we played with it for about an hour before i had to go for tea, it was quite fun as I've never played on one before :3
After tea I stayed at my house and watched tv with dad for a bit while i did the photos for here, then I grabbed the gerbs and gave them a run upstairs with Tony helping keep watch :3

Today I slept in a bit as usual for lately, and then went over my house to see what Dad and Jen were up to while Tony went to his brothers house.
Jen and Dad took a while coming home as they had been out walking, and when they were home we had to wait for a while which Rach got her lunch before we could go anywhere. When she was ready though we set out for Carding Mill Valley, which we haven't been to in quite a while.
It was sunny in Telford but typically when we got to Church Stretton it had clouded over. It wasn't too bad though, but Jen and Rach seemed a bit cold as they had forgotten their jackets, after a bit of walking round the town though they seemed k.
Since it wasn't very warm we didn't fancy spending much time in the stream in the cool weather, we drove up a massive hill one side of the valley first. We went along the top of the long mynd and then down the other side, where we got a little lost and discovered lanes even dad hadn't known about, some had gates you had to open and close on each end, strange. We went along those and eventually found a road leading us back up the long mynd and back onto the road we had travelled along the top.
Before we went home we explored Carding Mill Valley a little, I went fromt the car park down the streams' path, then looked at the first resevoir and taking pics along the way before ging back to the car and feeding some sheep that had gathered fruit pastilles X3
We went home then and arrived just in time to catch the simpsons. While it was on Tony came over and when the simpsons had finished Dad, Jen, Tony and me all went to the cuckoo oak pub for a meal, it was quite nice and we even had a dessert, it was HUGE! All four of us ate at it and we all got enough! I didn't get many pics though as the lighting was bad and my camera hated it, and I didn't want to use the flash and annoy people.
