Apr. 6th, 2011 11:14 pmToday was so sunny! So I spent mot of the day pottering around the garden doing this or that, I planted some things, namely the sunflowers and also dragged most the pets out to enjoy the sunshine too. The dragons went yellow sunbathing, so I guess they enjoyed themselves and the gerbs didn't have a lot of choice as they needed cleaning out. Only the conservatory pets: degus, Yuki and newbie gerbs didn't go out today.
When Tony got home from work he got the mower down off the wall for me so I could have a go at the lawn, it was getting kinda shaggy. It wasn't s hard as i thought it would be either, though that ice cream van is never around when you want it!

Aug. 28th, 2010 12:54 pmAfter yesterday today was back to normal. I let the 3 lads go in the bathroom while i faffed about cleaning them out & swapping their stuff to Moss & Atlas' cage. Moss has been taking bar-chewing to a new height lately and rubbing his face fur off so I wanted him in the lad's tank.
Had a little family come round to look at the baby dragons today too, they said they wanted one :]

Jul. 21st, 2010 11:02 pmWas in a bit of a picture taking fad with the pets today (when am I not, I know), started off trying to get good pics of the 3 gerb boys but the weather still isn't good enough that I can't use the flash, so they didn't turn out awesome. The degus were happy to have their pics taken though so long as everyone got cornflakes, luckily they live in the conservatory so lighting out there isn't really a problem. I also took a pic of the dragon eggs in case you fancied seeing them XD They are incubating in damp dirt-stuff in plastic tubs, on top of bricks, in heated water, all in a large polystyrene box with a lid...complicated! Some eggs are doing well, others not so much x.X

Jul. 15th, 2010 04:50 pmLoads of pet pics today, I was trying to get some good ones of the new boys but it's really difficult indoors. I resorted to using the flash which sucks a bit, but it does kinda show the difference between Jenkins & Coltrane, the weather is still too sucky to take them outside to try there.
And the degus being cute & begging for treats as ever XD

Jul. 7th, 2010 02:44 amSo today I finally gave in and went and got the 3 rescue gerbils I'd been keeping at eye on at the local Pets @ Home. They had been there for just over a week and I had a spare tank since Dimeech & Dini moved into Tai's old cage last week, so me & Dad went to get them. Dad helped me take their getting-home pics by trying to hold them still XD They look like they are only about 8 weeks old (Which makes me wonder if a pets at home gerb had babies & these are them? They seem too young to have been bought & returned already)
