It was Tony's birthday today! He wanted to go for a drive and since it was a lovely day we took Tony's car out all the way to Portmadog beach :]
We had a little car picnic, explored the beach and even had a nap XD

It was a bit of a grey day so we just went for a walk down the beach looking for an old war time hide, we didn't find it but we also managed to loose each other for a while *duh* Found some interesting things on the beach though. Mum also had me take a pic of a dead fish but i didn't want to post that one xp

The whole family got to go on a trip this time! We went to do the Taranaki Loop, today we mostly did Route 45.
We stopped at a little beach not long into the drive and explored a cool pier with big waves washing onto it now and then, then went over the beach to check out an old ship wreck! It's been there years. Jen climbed on it and I got some pics, then she took pics as I climbed on it....and promptly got soaked by a huuuge wave, which Jen didn't get pics of! Haha typical.
From there we carried on with the tour and saw loads of things, including those in the pictures below :]

Today me, Dad and Jen went to Castlecliff beach and walked Rush a bit while Mum was sleeping. We stopped at a couple of other places but unfortunately I've forgotten where now xd I really like the pics I got today anyway :]

Tony was still pretty ill today so he stayed home after we'd nipped out for some rock and me, Mel & Mel's mate went out to the sealife centre. I'd wanted to go all week and cause Tony was sick I think Mel felt he should take me, I felt a little bad about that as he didn't enjoy himself much, his mate seemed to think it was fun though XD
Everyone knows what's in a sealife centre, so here's some of the better pics I managed to take. The weather was awful today too with mist, the first pic is a photo of the fancy huge hotel XD

Today we went and visited Aber beach as usual, but there wasn't much to do and it quickly got too cold to go up the hill as i planned to do, fail!
I wasn't really done taking pics though so when we got back to the caravan I went on a proper explore of the site and got a bunch ^^

Last night when me and Tony went to bed we couldn't sleep, so at about 7.00 Tony was suggesting random things we could do and as a wild idea he said we should go to Creeley in Devon XD I am not a spur-of-the-moment kind of person, but now and then I want that kind of fun, so I agreed we should go XD We got a bunch of stuff together and nipped to Tesco on an energy drink run before we left, when we promptly remembered that Tony had agreed to help out Ron tomorrow so wouldn't be back in time.
So we went back home and looked for somewhere to go that would take a while with a bit of a drive but still be something to see & we could get back in a day. In the end we went kinda boring and went to Portmadog XD I fell asleep a couple of times but not loads really, it was a good trip. It was raining on the way there but it was sunny when we got to Portmadog beach! We watched some people kite/sand surfing (I think that's what it is?) and Tony did lots of doughnuts in the sand and I felt sick, I hate going round in circles xd
I played in the dunes and sand a bit and got some photos, after a few hours we went back home xD

Today I went on a trip to Wales with Dad :] When we had left home there was no snow, but from Shrews on there was snow in varying amounts :] It was really pretty of course, good for pictures! We went all the way to Aber and stopped for Maccies, then we went onto Dad's caravan, where we swapped the moisture crystals and chatted to the site owners for a few minutes. It was really snowy around the site and it's right at the bottom of a couple of big hills, we were the first car to go down the road too! Although wary of getting back up, the car showed us up and went up really nicely XD
We went back towards Aber, stopping for some photos and then Newquay. We didn't stop long in Newquay though, just having a quick mooch along the jetty before going onto Aber, where we went onto and again had a quick mooch along the front before getting cold and going to have a look in the town & in it's museum.
We got home about 7.15, not to bad for such a long trip!

It took me a long time to wake up today, the caravan was so cold i think it effected my sleep a little, not sure. Back to a normal sized, lovly warm bed tonight though, woop! So when i got up today Tony's mum was cleaning the caravan as they came home today too. We all left about 12, and me & Tony went and mooched in town again before going home. Had to have one last look at the sea ;D It was so sunny in Aber today but so cold too, luckily there was no wind else I don't think I'd have left the car ;p
We left about 2, I fell asleep after a while, though I took loads of pics of the lovely snowy hills we travelled through, again. Tony didn't seem to need keeping awake, but we whiffled once i woke up anyway. It was the journey of Lady Gaga's Bad Romance as we had the track on repeat almost constantly on the way home, I have a huge fad on it atm, esspec with the video on youtube.
We unpacked the car when we got home, we accumlated a lot of bags in just 2 days :x Dad was home so we chattec a bit, and he had got the tree box down so I put it away, it was kind of sad, I really like our gold tree! I had to go to work tonight too as one of the girls was sick, but it turned out well as I have craaaaap shifts this week.

So once I got up today, we'd got most our stuff together, just had to do bits and bobs around the house. We left about 12. On the way through wales it was so snowy! I got Tony to pull over at one point and nearly broke the car :x The layby was all rocky & snowy, luckily we got out and I got a bit glared at for a bit! :x
We got to Aber about 3.30, and went to look at the sea. Tony doesn't get why I have to look at the sea whenever we first get into Aber, it's kinda like, we've driven this far, I have to see the sea!
At the caravan we said hi to Tonys family, and Tony's grandad was there too. After tea I spent the evening DSing, ipoding and playing on my laptop (gadgets! I hope to get my laptop working on wireless soon, then next time I go to Wales I'll be able to post my LJs as well as typing them up =D) while the others played Monopoly. I'm not sure how to play Monopoly, but in a way I'm glad, it went on for hoooours xp

Today we got up fairly late and dossed about the caravan for a couple of hours till everyone was ready to go. Edward wanted to come with us too as we were going into Aber on the way home.
We dossed about a bit like yesterday, but it was sooo windy so we ended up in the arcade and then grabbed something to eat before we left at 3. My pics weren't so great today, I think it was the windy cloudyness ;/
Took some random pics on the way home as the moon was looking pretty cool, I wish I could figure out how to get the moon detail like this at night!
Got home at about 5.30 and pretty much just dossed for the evening :]

So, today we went to Aber. Once we got up I had a quick zoom about the place to make sure everything was okay then we went up town as we had some money to bank, ended up spending a while there though, did get a new shirt though, woop new clothes!
We set off at 1.30 and drove all the way without stopping, it was a pretty good trip, but at one point a stone chucked up and now my windscreen is cracked :C
We got to Aber at about 3.30, and parked up and went for a wander. Tony wanted to look for a dvd so we went to the highstreet but for a university town it doesn't have one place that sells dvds! I was having a great time taking photos around the town anyway.
We went to the arcade too (of course) and Tony went on his new fave machine which I think i described last time, and he won £20, only spending £1.50!
It was getting dark and a bit late by then so we headed to the caravan, where we dossed for an hour or so before the fireworks were on =D its hard to choose between watching the fireworks or photoing them XD
We went to the pub/club bit later, but this year didn't seem as fun as last, it was a more typical pub experience without the exploring and card games of last year, more sitting and dossing with flashy lights in my face & then the kareoke, Tonys mum is a pretty good singer, bit most other people are not xd we left about midmight and went back the caravan via the still-burning bonfire (look at all the colours!) and watched infomercials...woo!
It actually wasn't too bad a night, but most of all I'm pleased with the pics i got today :]

We were leaving the caravan today and I wanted another look about Aber first, so we left at 12 and went to the seafront. It wasn't rainy today which was a plus, but it was sooo windy! I planned to get all 3 pullips out but because the wind would've made everything too much hassle I just got Harley as her wig is the shortest so easiest to sort, plus she hadn't had any pics taken yet. I may take a pic of her in Mo's wig and take a small poll on which is better. I'd have to get a wigfor Mo again then, but I'm not really happy with Harley's atm. Anyway, enough Pullip talk.
I went and topped up at the petrol station and we headed for home at about 1, the drive home was much better than going, the weather was allowing vision today ;D got home for just after 3.30.
Had tea with Dad and his beermat friend who is up for the national, started to catch up with the nets then they decided to go look at some pubs so i went too x3

Today when we got up (the caravan was much comfier this time than the last couple of times we've stayed for some reason) Tony's Mum made fried egg & toast and after watching some music channel for some reson Me, tony, Tony's mum & little sister went into Aber town. It was sunny when we got there, but within 5 minutes changed it's mind, of course Xp It didn't just rain a bit either, it rained! We had a look in some of the old favorites shops about the town and I got a BB gun. It's red (not allowed to sell black ones anymore) but actually quite good, shots nicely! Don't know what exactly I'll shoot, but i'll figure something over the park, there's loads of rubbish over there XD Anyway, then we went onto the arcade, which I swear were made just for Tony, he is a total sucker for them. This time though he actually did okay, there was a machine with soft toys hanging from strings and you had to manouver siccors onto the strings (a bit like claw machines, only when you're done moving it snips instead of lowering & grabbing) after many 50p's it worked! Tony won a plushie dog (which of course I got x3) and also it had a tenner attached to it, so he actually ended up £2 up XD unusual for an arcade!
When we left the arcade it was still raining like crazy but I wanted to get some pics so I went out and got my camera wet again for this first picture. Then we had to go back to the car and we went back to the caravan, as we were getting soaked by the rain and it wasn't much fun.
We had lunch and I dossed with my sudoku book and Brandy (the dog, remember, haven't seen him for a few weeks!). Generally spent the rest of the evening dossing actually as the club wasn't open again so there wasn't much else to do XD

Today we went to Wales, but first we had to faff about a bit going to get oil for the car and little things like that. We finally left a bit after 1, where it was still sunny at home and took about 2 hours getting to Aber, where it's rainy like crazy XD We had a look at the sea (cause I wasn't driving all that way without seeing the sea before I had to go back away to the caravan) and I got a pic even though it was raining like crazy and my camera got a bit wet :/ I quickly got some ramen then we went out to the caravan. Tonys mum made us tea a bit later then Tony took his car out, but the field was very wet. Just had a relaxing evening really, the nets are really hard to find here so just messed with puzzle books. Tomorrow we are going into Aber again for a small mooch :]
Also, sorry the flickr pics didn't work, i did try to upload a couple but i guess the connection in Wales was just too cruddy ;/

Had a really comfy sleep in the caravan and Dad spelp on the camp bed in the annex and also said it was very comfy. When we got up we tidied the beds away then made breakfast- egg and beans! nomnom. After a bit of sorting, washing and making sure we hadn't forgotten anything we went to Aber to have a little look about and walked up the big hill with the cliff railway thing on it. It was quite an uphill, but the paths were nice and there was a couple of bridges where we could watch the cliff railway cars go up and down. It was windy like woah at the top and we didn't really look in the shoppy things that were up there, just nosed over the cliffs (except for Tony) and looked at the view, then went back down where we found it was even windier at the bottom than when we'd started walking up the hill!
We drove home, stopping at Newtown for Maccies (of course, can't drive past there now ;p). We got home a bit later than Dad as I was a bit too confident about knowing my way through Much Wenlock and got lost XD We got home at about 3.40, Tony got changed quick and then I dropped him off at work for 4. Just in time! I'll be in at 6 ;d

Today we went to Newquay to visit Dad! It was horrible weather pretty much the whole trip, and a little bit longer than I expected it to be too, but we got to Newquay at about 2.00 after setting off at 10.30. Once we found Dad we explored here and there in the town, it was pretty wet and a little windy so after a nose and look in at an info center we went and ate in a restaurant we had thought was a chippy. It was better really as we wanted to eat inside. The food was really good, but I don't take very appealing pics of food so instead the pic is of the window looking out to the sea, the view as we ate X3 After we'd finished the weather had improved and we had a bit more of a walk (though nothing compared to dads walks xp) and about 5.00 we went to some little hidden beachy places Dad knew of, the first one really was just a beach, but the second was a dinky town, it looked liked the prefect place to hang out on holiday, lovely little beach, caves and a bit of a viewpoint with a stone bench at the top, so nice!
After that we went back to Newquay to get the mini then Dad showed us the way back to the caravan. The mini did well really. The caravan was really nice, both in looks and comfyness though I managed to choke Dad throughout the evening by leaving the fire on ;x We pretty much just relaxed though and read and ate our sushi from yesterday, even Dad tried some!

Today I wanted to go to a butterfly farm just outside of Aberwrystwith (Google tells me this is how it's spelt? It still doesn't look right) Before we went we had lunch in Aber, and helped out a couple of bikers, one of the bikes wouldn't start just popped whenever they bumped it (name a car similar? Xp) after watching it not starting a bit we remembered we had a bump starter with us, so we lent it to them and it actually worked! Not sure how long for, but hopefully it got him where he wanted to go.
Anyway when we got to the butterfly place we found it was over a fiver a person and we could see the greenhouse wasn't that big...i don't know if this is the standard price for butterfly houses but they should bring it down some Xp Anyway, the place was based in an out-in-the-countryside place which turned out to be a hydro-power station as the visitor centre there informed us. We spent a bit of time looking in the centre and playing with their interactive screens and such and looking at the calm lake and hills (typical Wales view) before we went back into town as i wanted to have a look about the town. We wandered the streets and the beach a little, and late on we discovered the castle there but didn't really have time to explore it well, so kept it in mind for tomorrow.
We went to the club again in the evening but left after the bingo again (which I majorly suck at...you can't win if you don't join in they say, but I just can't win period....XD) We went back the the caravan and watched a DVD and had nibbles before going to bed and I read for a while while Tony finished the mechanics DS game I mentioned a couple of weeks ago :3

So, today we went to the beach. Well, first we had to fix the mini a bit as the headlights went while I went over a bump last night, turns out both of them blew so I had to buy 2 new ones, and at the same time Ron found and helped Tony fix the problem with the indicators I've been having over the past couple of weeks, some connectors at the front of the mini had rusted like crazy and weren't flowing anymore. So once those were all fixed everything that had been irritating about the mini was fixed and all was running well, so we decided we could go to the beach. We stopped at Tescos before we went and grabbed a snack and some burgers for tea and away we went.
The mini ran really well all the way there, it got a little hot going up the biggest hill on the way and so we used it as a stop off and took a little break before carrying on, going through Barmouth (where the rock shop is still closed, it's not season yet ;/) and onto Portmadog, we arrived at the beach at about 5ish. I went off after about 10 mins chatting with Tony's brother (well standing watching the chat) and got some pics, and then I wanted to drive down the beach a bit to get some better shots, but as Tony wanted a go in the mini I let him drive me over to where I wanted to be, then he drove about the beach for 5 mins till I got my fill of pictures (I took so many of the sun, you'd think there's only so many you can take of a rock and the sun setting next to it, but I got a ton xd)
When we'd had our food we sat around chatting for a while, then went to go at 8 as Pauls kids had to be back to go to sleep as they had school the next day. But some stupid mini decided that it liked the beach so much it wanted to stay. After not being able to bump start it, we eventually rang the AA about 8.30, they got to the mini about 9.30 and decided there was nothing they could do with it about about 10.00. It had to be towed home, we couldn't even sleep in the the car overnight and call them back as they won't come to the same breakdown twice or something, even if they can fix it in the daylight. So Paul had waited with us all that time, but when we were gonna get a tow truck out he left us then as he did need to get home. The tow truck arrived at 11. He began to tow us and didn't seem very happy, but it was late and he was facing a long journey to Telford and back, so when he asked if we may want to borrow a mini-van and drive ourselves home, and then he'd bring the mini back tomorrow on top of a big truck for no charge I said okay. I did feel a little sorry for him, and I do like to try out new cars! XD He seemed happier then and talked to us a bit on the way back to his garage where i signed for the van (so I had insurance) and then we were off.
If took a little getting used to the van, but it was pretty cool. I drove slowly getting used to it then when we got to a town where I was doing 20mph and but then a car came behind me so I sped up to the speed limit so I wouldn't annoy them. Tony said 'I think that looks like a police car...', then the blue lights started flashing XD So I pulled over and after a lot of nervous explaining the policeman got that I was driving a courtesy van (I didn't make a lot of sense, and he finally understood my rubbishy explanation when he asked for a receipt for the car hire and I gave him the paper I had signed back at the garage). He took my license to check, then gave me a breath test, which I think is manatory now, I got zero! Not really strange since I hadn't had any alcohol XD He said to have a safe journey then, and let us go. It was pretty scary being pulled over even though I knew I was okay, it was just making sure everything about the van was okay I suppose!
After that it was a fairly quiet drive home with one break to make sure I didn't fall asleep and we finally got home about 3am. Whee! So, the mini should be back tomorrow, in the mean time I have a very nice van x3
